The Cards are in the Superbowl!

I never thought I would say that (I quite frankly, who knows when the world will be able to say it again...). After the thriller in Glendale against the Eagles in the 2009 NFL playoffs, I couldn't help but create a prologue to "Go Big Red." I mean, I wrote that parody before the game, and the Cards won. It would only make sense that if I did it again before the Superbowl, they would win yet again and cap off the magical season, right? Not so much. It's a parody of "Swing" by Savage (you know, that song played in the bar in "40 Year-Old Virgin").

Go Big Red (Parody of "Let it Rock")

Last year (2009), Kevin Rudolph hit the music scene with his hit single, "Let it Rock." Coincidentally, the Cardinals hit the NFL scene with their first NFC Championship appearance in over a half-century. I figured, since the two newbies had so much in common, that I would create a parody that meshes them together to bring out the best in each. The result: "Go Big Red!" I think it helped the Cardinals win and go to the Superbowl...

By the way, this song was played on local radio stations the week prior to the game.

What the heck happened to the most well-known Packer who we all grew to know and love? Apparently, he wasn't ready to retire, so he sold out to the Jets (first). Worse yet, he bailed and went to the rival Minnesota Vikings (second), which, he later confessed, was the team that he wanted to play for from the start. This is a parody of Nickelback's "Rockstar" that simplifies the complicated drama that played out in the summer of 2008.

A parody of Beyonce's "If I Were a Boy," this is a song that I wrote and produced shortly after I was laid off in January of 2009. It wasn't the best way to kick off the new year, but it ended up working out. Writing down some of the emotions that surrounded the situation made me take a step back and realize the many blessings of life. You can purchase this song on iTunes.
